The Problem
SA Shares is the South Africa's leading and most comprehensive platform on all listed JSE Stocks & Shares.
They have a dedicated page for each of the shares listed here on this list. Each page contains the live share data of the share, key highlights, FAQs, steps on how to buy it, some insights, and a list of latest news for that share on the internet.
Comprehensive information, right? They have more than 310 JSE shares on the website. And ideally they wanted to update all of them daily.
Everything was being done manually:
- Looking up all metrics per share
- Analysing the data for insights
- Drafting and updating the WordPress page
- Finding and adding most relevant news for each listed share
- And doing this everytime for each of the 310+ shares
WHAT HAPPENED AFTER WORKING WITH ME?
I build two automations that work together and automate the entire process 100%. Now it runs 5 days a week, without any human effort involved.
- It starts by reading the list of all the JSE shares from a Google Sheet (they can entend it)
- The automation fetches live data per share
- Analyse it, and drafts the complete article body in the guided format using AI
- Scrapes Google News results for the "Share Name News" using Apify
- Analyses and selects the most relevant News, adds to the WordPress article draft
- And updates the WordPress page for all the 310+ shares, each working day of the week.
What felt impossible without a huge team, is now possible with just 10 days of my work.
